The Birdcare Company uses a number of unique ingredients that help support the immune and digestive systems of sick birds. These products are used by bird keepers and vets alike.
Selecting the most appropriate product or products for your sick bird can be difficult. This link will help you decide between Survive and Guardian Angel . Please use our free BirdVet Online service. We will always tell you to visit an Avian vet if we believe that is the most appropriate action for you to take. Please do not use BirdVet Online for acute cases - we cannot respond fast enough.

 Please also remember that many birds are sick because their basic nutrition was inadequate in the first place. This despite owners doing the very best they can. Application: In water: 20g per litre or 1 level tsp (3g) for 150mls (do not use Saniclens with GA)
On food: Approx 1 gram per kg body weight
Give 1 pinch for 20 small finches, 7 canaries, 3 budgies, 2 cockatiels.  Give 2 pinches for 1 Amazon or African Grey.  Give 4 pinches for 1 Macaw. Alternatively give 1 level tsp (3g) for 240 small finches, 84 canaries, 36 budgies, 24 cockatiels, 6 Amazons or Greys or 3 Macaws.
Clean fresh water must always be available if Guardian Angel is used on the food.  If calcium deficiency is suspected also use Calcivet.

Application: Add to water 3g to 150mls (1/4 pint).

Active ingredients: Starch - Maize (hydrolysed), Potassium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Magnesium Sulphate.
Shelf life: 20 - 24 months.

Application: 3g per 60g bodyweight twice per day. Mix with 1.5ml water per 3g Survive and feed with crop-tube or spoon.

Active ingredients: Vitamins A, D3, E, K, C. Balanced protein, mineral salts, glucose polymers, 8 Rapisorb minerals and 9 other essential vitamins.

Application: Small single pet birds (budgies/canaries) - one pinch daily on seed.
Large pet birds (parrots) - one pinch daily on fruit or eggfood.

Application: Packs include both a five and two day product (full user guide included) which require feeding along side a seed mixture, fruits and veg.

Ingredients: Cereal products, vegetable protein, vegetable oil, mineral premix, vitamin premix, limiting amino acids (methionine, lysine), omega 3 and omega 6 essential oils, kelp powder, probiotics (L casei casei and E faecium).

Application: Feed twice a week to non-breeding birds and five times a week to breeders. If birds have not been on CalciBoost before or are showing signs of calcium/magnesium deficiency use five days a week for the first 1-2 months. Do not feed CalciBoost powder daily. Birds on dry seed diets: Mix 1.5 level teaspoons (enclosed)(3.5 grams) of CalciBoost Powder to one pint (475 ccs) of drinking/bathing water. Or add one large pinch to 1 fl oz (30 ccs) of water. To add to softfoods or fruits/vegetables: 1 pinch (0.15 grams) for 24 finches (Gouldian sized), 12 canaries, 7 budgies/parakeets, 4 cockatiels, 1 grey/Amazon. 2-3 pinches for a large cockatoo or macaw.CalciBoost Powder can be added to hand rearing foods. Add at the rate of 1 pinch per pound (450g) of bird bodyweight. For smaller birds use CalciBoost Liquid.

Application: Sprinkle over fresh foods, human foods or moistened soft foods(Feast). Use once or twice a week for non-breeding birds andup to 5 days a week for breeders. Use less frequently if birdsgetting very hard drinking water. For small collections give 1pinch for a pair of finches/canaries, 2 pinches per pair budgies,4 pinches per pair cockatiels/rosellas, 4 pinches for oneamazon/grey, 8 pinches per macaw.Alternatively add 20g (4 heaped teaspoons) to a kg of dry softood. Remember not to feed more than 5 days a week.

Application: Wheeze-Eeze is simply sprayed in front of the birds face, allowing it to breathe the mist.  As a matter of routine Wheeze-Eeze can be sprayed around the bird room. The product is totally safe for use in the presence of people.
Because of the broad range of diseases that affect the respiratory tracts of birds the company recommends birds are taken to an avian vet if symptoms persist.

Application: Dissolve in water at the rate of 50g of Special Needs Diet to 180mls of water.

Flourish
Flourish is a blend of natural herbal ingredients that help to stimulate the bird's immune system, attack disease causing organisms and create a good environment in the gut for beneficial bacteria. Flourish can be used as a regular preventative or to support the bird's natural defences during times of illness.
Application: Add Flourish to eggfood fruits greenfoods etc. One level teaspoon of Flourish is adequate for 60 pairs of finches/canaries, 40 pairs of budgerigars, 24 pairs of cockatiels, 20 pairs of rosellas, 12 pairs of amazons/greys or 8 pairs of large macaws. Flourish is safe to use at larger dose rates.

Active ingredients: Flourish herbal blend, Vitamin C 1800mg per kg,
Trace minerals included: Selenium, Cobalt, Manganese, Copper, Magnesium, Zinc, Sulphur, Sodium and Iodine.

Application: Add to fruit, soft food or soaked seed : Finches/canaries - 1 drop per bird, 1ml per 30 birds; Budgies - 2 drops per bird, 1 ml per 15 birds; Cockatiels - 4 drops per bird, 2.5 mls per 10 birds; African Greys - 15 drops per bird, 1 ml per pair. Do not use in the same drinking water as Saniclens.
Add to water 5 ml per litre.

Application: Add 5 grams (just over 1 level teaspoon) to 1 litre of drinking water or mix 5 grams of BioPlus with 500 grams softfood or fruit.  Do not use in the same drinking water as Saniclens.

Active ingredients: 14 different vitamins, 8 "Rapisorb" minerals, yeast extracts, Allicin concentrate, glusose polymers, L.casei casei - 0.17 billion cfus per gram. E.faecium 0.5 billion cfus per gram. Total bacterial count 0.67 billion cfus per gram.

Colloidal Silver is a natural anti-biotic.  Our product is made using de-ionised water and can be used neat as drinking water to treat many infections caused by bacteria ,yeasts or fungi. As a preventative it can be used at half strength.  Colloidal Silver can be mixed with other supplements except for Potent Brew and BioPlus.
Application: Use neat or diluted 10 mls per litre of tap water.

Acox (liquid)
For Coccidiosis.
Application: Add to the drinking water at the rate of 6 mls per litre of water, and give for one week. In bad cases it may be given at half that rate for a second week. DO NOT GIVE WHEN CHICKS ARE IN THE NEST. Always read the label.

Liver Aid
A liquid based supplement designed to support the liver function in cage birds.
Application: Add 0.25ml per 250ml of drinking water, 0.5ml per 500ml of drinking water, 1ml per 1 litre of drinking water, 2ml per 2 litres of drinking water or 5ml per 5 litres of drinking water.

ExMite Easy
Completely novel approach to Red Mite. Entirely herbal approach deals with the problem through the blood of the bird.

MegaCare
Healthcare for the digestive system.
Application: Add 5 mls (one teaspoon) of Megacare to 1 litre of water and use two days a week as required. On the next two days use Megacare Follow-Up.  Add 5 mls (one teaspoon) of Megacare Follow-Up to 1 litre of water and use two days a week as required. Use this product on the two days following Megacare.
