Mr King from reading solved plucking problems in his Lorikeets by giving them Potent Brew on sponge cake and fruit.

I have a hen Kakariki which I keep as a pet because she was being bullied in an aviary. She was getting very run down after ;laying several clutches of clear eggs in spite of following advice in books and magazines, such as adjusting her diet, reducing her daylight hours, and letting her sit on each clutch until the eggs went bad. (According to the above advice she was supposed to get fed up with her eggs, but she sat tighter the longer I left them). She refused any kind of eggfood, proprietory or home made and the only green food she would eat was spinach.

After less than a week of Fussy Feeder Essentials, together with Calcivet (CalciBoost) and Aviclens (Saniclens) in her drinking water daily, she is now sprouting lots of new feathers on her once almost bald little head, is full of energy, has a ravenous appetite, and is eating egg biscuit with gusto.

Thank you very much for this " wonder product", also for despatching the order so promptly.

Christine and her daughter Sam helped their African Grey parrot who was feather chewing through the use of Calcivet, Feather Up and Potent Brew.

Dear Birdcare Co,

My daughter Sam Has a 10 month old African Grey named Billy. We saw him from a baby until Sam, my daughter brought him home once weaned. He has a good vocabulary, learning loads of word. He is very lively and tame. The problem is that about 2 months ago Billy started chewing his red tail feathers and chest. We took him to an avian vet who gave a thorough examination and said it was hormones. Billy had an injection which stopped him chewing and we took him back a few weeks ago for a check up with the vet giving another injection of hormones as Billy was doing the dance birds do when finding a mate. Billy's feathers have started to grow on his tail and chest but he seams to have like bum fluff feathers peaking out from his main back feathers. He is sprayed and showered, he has an assortment of fresh and raw veg with fruit and was on a seed diet of Rob Harvey's which the breeder uses. The vet says Billy should be on a pellet diet of Harrisons High Potency Course, so now we are confused.  We just need to know what to do to keep Billy in tip top condition as he is really beautiful and full of mischief. Actually he is spoilt.  Would be grateful if you could suggest where we are going wrong.

The Birdcare Company recommended a combination of Calcivet, Feather Up and Potent Brew and once fed at the correct dosage rates improvements were noticed in just over a month.

Doing everything you listed and touch wood Billy's feathers are improving and his red tail feathers are starting to grow. Not very much but very noticeable. Billy's feathers on his left side are now very nice and smooth  as they used to look but the right side still looks a little scruffy but better than they were. He is absolutely full of mischief and talks and talks and talks all day.

Many thanks

Chrsitine
